Ready, set, GO!

Ladies! Well here we go! I am so excited to start this journey with you! I am believing and expecting that God is going to do incredible things through the study of His word. Reading and studying scripture provides the opportunity for God to speak to us... and I can't wait to hear what He has to say!

This week we are starting the book Jesus: 90 Days with the one and only by Beth Moore. The book is broken down by day, so its super easy to follow. There are bible passages to read, thoughts and questions to ponder, a place for journaling and a place for prayer. Just do 1 devotional per day. We'll start this week with days 1 - 7.

Check in through out the week here or on the facebook page and share with us what you're learning. I'll be posting a brief synopsis next Sunday of Days 1 - 7.

Pray this with me this week! (or something along these lines!)

Lord, be among us. Some of us are new friends, some of us live hundreds of miles apart. Unite us in you, no matter how far apart we all may be. Speak to us, teach us, transform us!

Ready, set, GO!

Love, Emily

  2. Looking forward to this study. I'm doing a study on Jesus through the book of John with a Facebook group and this one is going to work right along with it. I love how God works these things out!

  4. as i read day 2...i realized that we think we have big hurdles to climb often but mary was having a baby and had no explanation as to how it got there other than an angel telling her. she was alone...no witnesses...no one had to believe her...they could think she was crazy. but when we look at our lives...if we feel its coming from god, or its gods will....we cant worry about the questions and judgements that we will receive. so many times we worry about what everyone else thinks....who cares... what does jesus want...what does he desire for our lives..that is what should matter. as long as we follow his word and his path....and we listen to him....all will be well. i come at a crazy point in my life where many people are going to be thinking i'm crazy and judging me....and asking questions and being negative but i have to know....god is behind me...he always has been and he always will be. and that he has plans for me and my family....and we will listen and if we dont....if we hit a rock...we will have other followers and believers that love us enough to speak truth into our lives. im so excited for this journey and the friendships that will come.

  5. So where do we post for regular daily learnings/questions? Can I post on this thread??? I think I will :) I just got done reading day 2. Blows my mind how Mary had such obedience. Makes me definitely think about my own life and my responses to God's plan for me. Am I that quick to say yes? ouch.

  6. Yes! post them here! Lindsey Simmons - you're totally right - we put others opinions before God's desires for our lives! Thank goodness for Mary's obedience! What if she had not obeyed!? Love it! Keep posting!

  7. @Lindsey Simmons-that is so true. That is probably my biggest hurdle I've had to overcome as a Christian. (still working on it from time to time). I love that we share that hurdle because we can help each other overcome it. xoxo!
